VILLA PURO INSTRUCTIONS GUIDE

Here you will find instructions on how to use the various appliances and best take care of the villa during your stay

If you have any problems at all in the villa, the concierge, Christina, is here to solve them. Call her anytime on +39 340 463 7731.

Please note that Christina lives in the mountains, and cell signal is not very reliable, but the internet connection is good — a WhatsApp or Telegram message will always get to her.

The natural wood, marble and fabrics in Villa Puro do need special attention, to avoid staining or damage.

  • Please wipe any spills on the wood or marble immediately, especially oil or red wine, to avoid stains
  • Please use provided pool towels to cover the fabric cushions on the sunloungers, to avoid staining with tanning lotions or sweat.
  • Please use the provided sofa blankets to cover the sofa fabric if eating or drinking on the sofa.
  • Please use hot pads under hot pots or cups placed on the countertops
  • Please use coasters under cups placed on wooden surfaces

Sudden and violent windstorms are a natural part of the Lake Garda climate, especially in summer. Insurance does not cover storm damage if the furnishings have not been appropriately stowed and cared for, so:

  • Please close and tie all sun umbrellas when not in use, especially overnight or when leaving the property
  • Please place all lounger cushions inside the pool storage room when not in use, so they don’t get wet.

Refrigerator: There two refrigerators, side by side, under the counter on the left side of the kitchen.

Freezer: The freezer is in the utility room, under the counter beside the washing machine.

Dishwasher: The dishwasher is under the counter in the kitchen, use instructions on the panel. There is biodegradable natural dishwasher gel under the sink. Please always rinse the dishes before putting in the dishwasher. Large chunks of food can clog the water spinner above.

Stove top: To use the induction stove top, turn on with the button on the left of the control panel. Select which burner you will use — the burner symbol will be underlined on the display when it is active. Then select the heat level on sliding scale at the bottom of the control panel. Please only use pots provided in the villa, as these are specially made to be safe for induction stoves.

There are wood piles throughout the property that you are free to use in the fireplaces and the barbecue.

Central open fireplace: The glass covering can only have 2 sides open at the same time — two sides must always stay closed, for safety reasons. Use the buttons on the base of the fireplace at the back to open the glass: press and hold the right button to open the left side, or the left button to open the right side. Press again once to close automatically (no need to hold).

The bose sound system in the lounge works with bluetooth — connect your device to the “something sound” device to listen to your music through the sound system.

There is also a portable bose speaker, bluetooth connected, that you can use by the pool, in the olive grove, and around the property.

The television is automatically connected to the Internet, with Netflix account ready to use. Please use the “guest” user profile. Please do not switch accounts on Netflix without telling us (so we can reset the login for the next guests!)

There is a DVD player in the small cabinet underneath the television, and a collection of DVDs on the shelves behind the sofa.

There are independant Air Conditioning units in each bedroom, each with their own remote control. Increase or decrease the temperature using the up or down arrows on the remote control.

Central heating is turned off (required by law!) from the 1st of April until the 1st of November. If you feel cold and would like heating, please contact the concierge who will send a specialist to turn on the heating system.

Please note:
1) Heating fuel is not included in the booking rent, and must be paid extra at cost for the actual fuel consumed during your stay — the cost per cubic meter is ???
2) The under floor central heating system takes a long time to react and change the temperature in the house, usually 24 hours or more.

Although the area is very safe and remote, luxury villas can be a target for opportunistic thieves. It is safest to keep the front doors to the apartments and main house always locked when you are not in the house (including when you are down at the pool, for example).

There is a safe for your valuables and documents in the utility room.
